Distrigarcia Importaciones, based in Colombia, South America, is running several operations within the mining industry and was struggling to find a reliable hydraulic motor for the demanding environments.
Previously, low-quality motors were replaced every couple of months, causing unnecessary downtime in their 24/7 operations, at huge avoidable expense. There was also no technical support previously.
The motors were used on mining dredges, for positioning, using winches, and the excavation during the mining process. All of which were using different brands of motor, depending on availability at the time.
